EMDR 1 & 2 Biofeedback Trained
Clinical Focus: Trauma, Biofeedback, Medical Family Therapy, LGBTQ+ Health, Depression & Anxiety
First of all, I want to congratulate the step you are taking of looking for a therapist by reading this bio! Even getting to this page is a huge step in accomplishing your goals. My job as a therapist is to walk with you and assist you in accomplishing your goals. This could be improving communication in your relationship, improving coping with a chronic health condition, or processing through past trauma, no matter what your goal is we can work through it together.
As a Family Therapist, I work with all age groups 5+ and work with my clients to accomplish their personal goals. But I do have some areas where I specialize, these include: Trauma, Chronic Health Conditions, and Biofeedback. I am EMDR 1 & 2 certified, and I am working through my Biofeedback Certificate through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). EMDR uses eye movement to help desensitize and reprocess traumatic events, making it an indicated treatment for those who have experienced trauma. Biofeedback uses sensors to measure what is going on in the body (such as your heart rate or skin temperature) and gives us that information so that we can use it to help us manage things like anxiety, anger, and other mental and physical health concerns. If you want to learn more about me, what work we can do together, or how biofeedback or EMDR can help you accomplish your goals reach out to me at (405) 242-5305.
