Caring for Eating Disorders Packet (Updated)
Collaborative care in the treatment of eating disorders is of utmost importance throughout the treatment process; however, it is often least attended to. We believe best practices for eating disorders involve a collaborative treatment approach in which all providers are communicating effectively to enhance treatment in each level of care and during transition periods. In this presentation, we will discuss the significance of a full comprehensive treatment team and how to adequately implement communication throughout all levels of care.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will learn the importance of a collaborative treatment approach.
- Participants will learn about each providers role, differing levels of care, and best practices for step-down care.
- Participants will learn how to effectively implement communication throughout the entire treatment process, along the continuum of care and transitionary periods.
