So you’re thinking about going to therapy. Maybe you’ve been before or maybe you haven’t. Whatever your history maybe, something has recently lead you to read this very page. Sure, you’ve managed many issues in the past before and you wonder if it’s pointless to share vulnerabilities with a new person when you’ve gotten through it before. There might be a part of you that is desiring a change of perspective, holds the curiosity of what could be different or needs to just release some heavy baggage. It’s okay to just try out one or two sessions, to look into which therapist you might like more, and to wonder why therapy may be your resolution. You’ve already proven you’re brave as it takes a lot of courage even to make it this far. My encouragement to you is to commit to making the first appointment because it could be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make! Plus, there’s a good and peaceful life that awaits you; and you’re worth having it!
I come from a place of curiosity myself, as a therapist. As you embark on your therapy journey, think of me as your guide. It’s important to me to get to know you and to hear the stories that reflect how you have experienced life and relationships. I have worked with many clients from many different backgrounds, but each experience is like a single snowflake, there are no two that are exactly alike. By diving deeper into the heart of the issues and concerns you bring to the table, I aim to lead you to a healing place of hope, joy, and peace.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I can chat it up with teenagers, deescalate arguments with couples, bring up different perspectives of family members, and more. I will warn you, I may bring a quirky sense of humor while also asking some very difficult questions all in the same session. However, this is your therapy; and it is incredibly important for me that you share how the experience is going for you. At times, I will ask for your feedback as therapy is not “one size fits all;” thus, what may work for one person may not be the same for you. I am trained to adapt and work in accordance with you to find a resolution to problems. Maybe I will see you soon!
